1) Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana–National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM)

1.Social Mobilization & Institutional Development (SM&ID): Create improvement in livelihoods on a sustainable basis through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor such as Self Help Groups (SHG’s), Area Level Federations (ALF’s) and City Level Federation. Providing one time Revolving Fund to SHG’s & ALF’s.

2.Capacity Building Programme: To build the Capacity of grassroot level institutions by creating informatory & educational organizing programmes.

3.Employment through Skill Training & Placement (EST&P): To reduce poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self employment and skilled wage employment opportunities.

4.Self Employment Programme (SEP): Providing Individual & Group loans with interest subsidy of over & above 7% of prevailing interest rate.

5.Support to Urban Street Vendor (SUSV): The mission addresses livelihood concerns of the urban street vendors by facilitating access to suitable spaces, institutional credit, social security and skills to the urban street vendors for accessing emerging market opportunities.

6. Shelter for Urban Homeless: The mission aims at providing shelters equipped with essential services to the urban homeless in a phased manner.

2. Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban)

1. Individual Household Latrines (IHHL): Under this component a beneficiary is given an incentive of Rs.2000/- as first installment and Rs.3,333/- as second installment for conversion of Household Latrine from insanitary to sanitary.Capacity Augmentation for ULB.

2. Community Toilet and Public Toilet and Urinals: Construction, refurbishment and cleanliness of Community and Public Toilets is done under this component.

3. Solid Waste Management (SWM): Municipal Solid Waste Management (MSWM) refers to a systematic process that comprises of waste segregation and storage at source, primary collection, secondary storage, transportation, secondary segregation, resource recovery, processing, treatment, and final disposal of solid waste.

4. IEC and Public Awareness: A key strategy under SBM (Urban) is behavior change communication to ensure that sanitation as an issue is mainstreamed with the general public at large and should cover issues of open defecation, prevention of manual scavenging, hygiene practices, proper use and maintenance of toilet facilities (household, community or otherwise), etc., and its related health and environmental consequences.

5. Capacity Building and A&OE States shall propose extensive capacity building activities to be implemented in a mission mode manner, which will enable the progressive achievement of objectives of SBM (Urban) in a time-bound manner.

 

3. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban)

•Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Housing for All (Urban)” Mission is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme for Housing in urban areas which will be implemented during 2015-2022. The Mission aims at providing affordable housing for eligible beneficiaries with basic amenities within the urban areas. The following are no. of applications of 4 verticals in demand based survey conducted in 14 ULB's.

Following are the components of the Mission:

1.In-Situ Slum Redevelopment using land as resource -  Rehabilitation of slum dwellers with participation of private developers using land as a resource. Slum Rehabilitation grant of Rs.1 lakh average per house is admissible.

2.Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme - Promotion of affordable housing for weaker section through Credit Link subsidy Scheme (CLSS) by providing interest subsidy at the rate of 6.5% for loan upto Rs.6 lakhs.

3.Affordable housing in partnership – Supply side intervention where Central Assistance at the rate of Rs.1.5 lakh per EWS house would be provided.

4.Beneficiary-led individual housing construction or enhancement – For those beneficiaries who could not avail benefit under the above three verticals. Central assistance of Rs.1.5 lakh would be provided.
